Periodisation Planner

Give it a race date. Get a season with a shape.

It starts with the season, not the week. Tell the planner your race name and date, the most you'll train in a peak week, and how many days you can train — it works backwards from race day the way a coach does, fixing the taper and race weeks against the date first, then filling the runway in front of them.

The blocks it fills that runway with use the real vocabulary: Preparation, Base, Build, Transmutation, Sharpening, Taper, Competition. Which ones you get depends on how much time you have. A full season earns a preparation block up front and a long aerobic base; sixteen weeks out you get base, build, transmutation and sharpening; under six weeks the planner stops pretending and sharpens what you already have.

Every phase comes with a focus and its own weekly volume target, scaled off your peak — base sits at your full volume, transmutation at 85%, taper at 45% — plus the checkpoints that prove a block worked: a benchmark test at the end of each base, build and transmutation block, and a tune-up time trial three weeks out from the race.

Nothing is locked. Edit Plan lets you move the season start, change any phase's length, reorder blocks, or add your own — and you can skip the AI entirely and build the season by hand. On the dashboard it comes back to one thing: which phase you're in, which week of it, and how long until the next one.

  • Season built backwards from race day, taper and race weeks reserved first
  • Preparation, Base, Build, Transmutation, Sharpening, Taper and Competition blocks
  • Block structure adapts to your runway — long seasons periodise fully, short ones sharpen
  • Weekly volume target per phase, scaled from your own peak weekly volume
  • Benchmark tests after each aerobic block and a tune-up time trial three weeks out
  • Fully editable: resize, reorder or add phases, or plan the whole season yourself
